Members of the ancient Baltic religious community "Romuva" established a sanctuary next to the mound, and a built altar on the site in front of it. In here many Baltic holidays are celebrated also various rituals are performed. As you go deeper into the oak grove, you will also come across a Lightning-marked Thunder Oak.
